-he is at the peak of career, knew God and follows God

-the human heart is created for God... Not for wealth and riches 

-he longs to enjoy God

-perfection requires detachment

-if we can detach something, we are letting Jesus

-his sorrow shows his attachment 

-wealth is not the problem, but it's wealth owning him

-love for God is impossible if there's something 

-detachment allow us to walk up humility to love

-detachement is not losing things, but gaining the relationship with God

-Jesus came to the world as a human

-Jesus died as a criminal on the cross 

-Jesus loved His family, but He still chooses God the Father 

-Jesus rejected every temptation from Satan

-Jesus committed Himself to God on the cross just before His death

-doing the opposite of the attachment until our heart is restored to freedom

-if our security is on the things we own, we will never be filled cos there no amount is enough 

-Jesus notice that people are looking to seat at the front seat

-

-are we willing to let go... Holy Spirit will reveal the thing to let go

-

7 path ways

-humility = surrendering of ego

   -guards love from corruption and keeps it pure

-

-dont fight God cos we will never win

-poor = being humble

   -without God, we cant do anything 

-

-to be poor in spirit = to be child like... Dependent, teachable, nothing to boost about 

-not despise ourselves 

-there's no need to deny our talent / boost / compare

   -false humility

-

-humility does not come by declaration 

-its something the Holy Spirit forms in us 

How to practice humility 

1. pratice honest confession before God

-real surrender to God

2. practice gratitude

-thank and acknowledge God is the source of the blessings 

3. practice serving others 

-

-practice serving as long as it does not burn us out

4. embracing life's humiliatings

-humility instead of bitter 

-humility expose our weakness, yet in God's hands, these difficult times refine us

-what pride cant teach us, humility does 

-

THE PATH TO PERFECTION - part 1 love

-

-ready to go on to perfection when..

   -repentence

   -faith become a lifestyle 

   -enjoy spirit baptism 

   -involving church life 

   -looking forward to Jesus' return, and we will stand before God

-perfect = complete, person of love like Jesus 

   -not sinless 

-perfection is a path we choose to take

-path to spiritual perfection is the way of love

   -God is who He is. Not just what He does

-

-whoever does not love does not know God 

-God did not wait for us to better to love us. God loves us even when we do not know Him 

-we treating people like how Jesus treated the sinners 

-we can only live in God and God in us through love

-

-love is the key to holy life 

-choose love instead of anger, forgiveness instead of resentment 

-

-in the worst of Jesus' night, before going to the cross, He chose to love, and He had the inner peace 

   -Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, including Judas who will betray Him

-God's goal is not to make us impressive, but to make us loving 

-1 fruit of love, but expressed in different loving ways 

-love changes the heart, leads us to repentance, mountain moving faith 

-

-holiness is produced by love, not pressure
