PASSION FOR GOD part 3

-God remove the heart of cold --- hard

   -with a heart of flesh --- leading, 

-the Holy Spirit keeps moving us to follow the commandments

-disregard ones body and the others 

-the bible teach us to honor one another 

-we must say no to all sexual immortality 

-

-refuse to entertain those flesh cravings 

-self control 

-the temptation us relentless 

-

-begins in the heart and mind 

   -the mind thinks and physically will follow

-guard our heart and our mind

-surrender to God

-dont lose the desire to be pure

-human beings can steal from God

-

-the master gave the gold to each according to their abilities 

-our job is to do what we are entrusted with

-one day, the master will come back for an account on what we have 

-just as God gives everybody differently.. there's no need to steal or be jealous.. just be faithful to what we have 

4 things we may be stealing 

1. Time

-"snake" during work

2. Integrity 

-giving what was paid for...not shortchanging 

3. Financial obligations 

-owe money, but delay even with ability to repay

4. Resources 

-dont hold back our resources from those who are in need

-rivival breaks out cos they manage their resources 

-the way we live affect our relationship with the Holy Spirit 

-God is watching... And someday the master will return and we have to account for what we have

-we don't have to strive.. cos God has apportion the resources.. all we need to do is be a good steward 

THE PATH TO PERFECTION discovering the true self

-Isiah see that in the light of God, he realize that he is a man of unclean lips

-seek identity through... Achievement, career, relationship/ connection with ppl, image they project to others, disappointments 

   -however, our true identity is only found in God 

-

-before we achieve or fail anything, God alr dreamed of us and loved us

-we are created by God to have union with Him

-

-is not the self that God has created us

-

-

-loses life = fully surrender 

-

how to live the true self

1. Through our identity in Christ 

-Jesus came not just for our sins but also our relationship with God, restoring sonship and daughtership 

-

2. In the depths of our soul 

-surrendering fully

3. Through the dark nights of union 

-layers of mask will strip off in the dark nights 

-know God's love

4. By yielding to the spirit of love
