-
-Jesus sees ppl we don't see.. the poor, the forgotten
-
-
-Jesus simply receives what the boy offers
-the miracle begins when the boy surrenders
-
-the shape of disciples
-Jesus took us, blessed us, breaks us of our pride, and give us to the world with His love
-abundance of Jesus
-when we entrust what we have to Jesus, he uses it
-Jesus is the bread of life
-what the world need is the bread... And we are the one who brings this bread to them

Cruciform faith
1. Trusts God
-faith is not just believing in God but entrusting ourself to God
-while waiting for our breakthrough, still continue to trust in God
-even when don't go well for Jesus, He still trust in the Father
2. Surrenders to God
-not my will but yours be done
-no matter what's happens, we must still place ourself in God
3. Obeys God
-Jesus on the cross must be the pattern of our life
-faith didn't just believe, faith also obey
-its easy to obey when in good season
-when forgiveness is injustice, when integrity miss an opportunity, when doing the right thing cause a misunderstanding
-we don't have to do it with our own strength.. when we are drained, we can depend God
-
-
4. Dies to self
-
-
-
-
-
-our weakness is where we can lean on God
-
-Jesus died to be our Lord
-
-
-
6. Loves like Christ
-Jesus died for everyone, including those who crucified Him
7. Endures with Christ
-faith can bring us to success, faith can also carry is through the hard times
-
-how to keep hoping and trusting? By the Holy Spirit
-because of God's love, we can conquer anything

RELATIONAL PRAYER

-
-does our prayer life inspire others to pray
-Jesus didn't insist on His way, but allow Father to speak back to Him
Prayers
1. Performative prayer
-when we need others to help us to pray
-we are unable to pray on our own
-we are to build relationship with Jesus... So that when we are the lowest point in life, we can confidently say that "though we walk through the valley, we fear no evil cos Jesus is with us"
2. Superstitious prayer
-motivation: first is to please God cos He is God, very distant and uninterested... Second is to please God cos of love
-what God wants from us is a faith prayer
-we don't need to work hard to get God's attention
-even though God knows our needs, God still wants us to pray...
-
3. Rational prayer
-God wants us a relational communication
-prayer not as a tool but a relationship conversation
-
-God does not silence our desires... He sanctifies them
-God does not ignore our feelings.. He refines them
-present our request by prayer and petition
-engaging with God.. ask God how He feels about our petition
-ask God for our needs is important but God gives according to His will
-
-
-question is are we able to accept "no" as a reward
-we won't see it's reward from God until we know that God is a good God
-God is inviting us to the table
