-to be truthful.. lying goes against the nature of God 

-false witness lies to harm someone 

-even when being silent to mislead others

-every word matters

-if don't mean it, don't say it!

-how our words affect the being of others

5 Kinds of hurtful speech

1. Reviling

-done openly 

2. backbiting 

-done in secret 

-shared to tear someone done even if it's true

-truth is never a justice to backbite

3. gossiping 

-damage trust 

-stir up in a group against another

4. mockery

-mocking people

5. lying

-why did we lie? What is it that we want to protect?

-there is always an underlying reason

-our speech affects our relationship with the Holy Spirit,

-why did we lie?

-put on kindness and compassion 

10th. be content in God 

-whatever we want to covet becomes our idol 

-1 covetousness leads to other sins 

-covetousness is caused by the lack of relationship with God 

-

-this women spent many years in searching for satisfaction, security, acceptance

-

-only the Holy Spirit can satisfy 

3 ways ppl can search for satisfaction 

1. Fool's way

-always thinking the newest is the best 

2. the way of the disillusioned person

-see through things 

3. the Christian way 

-we are made for communion with God 

-from the start, we are created for communion with God

-

-there is empty space at the communion table... But Abraham is not present 

-

-passion for God and love for people

DO NOT WORRY

-

-the cross reminds us that God is in our situation

   -the truth will give us the grace to not worry 

-if not a call to neglect preparing for tmr.. but a call to not be anxious about our life after we have done our best 

-Jesus is inviting us to discover this truth

-our heavenly Father cares for us 

How to not be worry (when you are running out of supply and feeling worried)

1. Check our connection to the source

-

-

-

-we don't add hour, but shortening our lifespan by worrying 

-doctors only can extend our life, but God can add good years to our life 

-

-being the head and not the tail but under the authority of God

-steward is given access to the kingdom 

-in the world, we want control instead of access

   -this is the source of anxiety....cos we are fighting for control 

   -humble ourself and surrender to God, give back control to God 

      -to allow God to take over our life 

-

2. Consider how much God loves and cares for us 

-we need to stop listening to the negative thoughts 

-spend alone time with God

-nature can evoke and let us see the beauty and power of God's majesty, God's creation 

-

-dont grumble... From grumble to gratitude 

-

-

-God remove the heart of cold --- hard

   -with a heart of flesh --- leading, 

-the Holy Spirit keeps moving us to follow the commandments 

-

-

-

-disregard ones body and the others 

-the bible teach us to honor one another 

-we must say no to all sexual immortality 

-

-

-refuse to entertain those flesh cravings 

-self control 

-the temptation us relentless 

-

-begins in the heart and mind 

   -the mind thinks and physically will follow

-guard our heart and our mind

-surrender to God

-dont lose the desire to be pure

-human beings can steal from God

-

-

-the master gave the gold to each according to their abilities 

-our job is to do what we are entrusted with

-one day, the master will come back for an account on what we have 

-just as God gives everybody differently.. there's no need to steal or be jealous.. just be faithful to what we have 

4 things we may be stealing 

1. Time

-"snake" during work

2. Integrity 

-giving what was paid for...not shortchanging 

3. Financial obligations 

-owe money, but delay even with ability to repay

4. Resources 

-dont hold back our resources from those who are in need

-rivival breaks out cos they manage their resources 

-the way we live affect our relationship with the Holy Spirit 

-God is watching... And someday the master will return and we have to account for what we have

-we don't have to strive.. cos God has apportion the resources.. all we need to do is be a good steward
