THE PATH TO PERFECTION spiritual sustenance

-when the soul is norished, we have peace, joy... But when the soul is neglected, there is emptiness, tiredness

-our soul was created for God, needs communion 

-the same for our soul... If we continue feeding it with entertainment, success, attention

-

-what ever opens our heart to 

That will feed the deeper paet

how the Holy Spirit nourish the soul 

1. prayer and worship 

-it must be done in the sprit 

-

-prayer and worship 

-as we worship, the Holy Spirit opens us up to God

-prayer without worship becomes duty without delight 

-prayer continues when life is difficult 

2.

-the spirit makes the Word happens

-

3. Community and Godly conversation 

-the Holy Spirit in them will stir up something 

-Godly conversation

-don't let words that will grieve the Holy Spirit 

4. ministry and mission

-receive without outlet, it becomes stagnent

-doesnt mean more mission or ministry= more spiritual 

   -will burn out... That's why Jesus often withdrew to pray

WAIT TILL HEAVEN

-

what kind of life do we live? Is it pleasing to the Lord?

1. faithfulness in the ordinary routines of life 

-they don't have to be successful... But to be faithful 

2. faithfulness in the most of the storm 

-what do we do in the mess of our life, the most painful moments 

-leave a well for the person who comes behind to drink 

-Jacob loved Rachel more

-Leah lived her life hoping for love from Jacob

-praise the Lord

-in such times, go in the room, close the door and tell Jesus 

3. You can't wait till heaven

-we need to do something 

-Jesus is standing there waiting for us... A lifetime time chance 

-not our accomplishments, but faithfulness to the Lord

5. honor others about ourselves 

-loving people starts with the people around us

-see them as importance and treated them with respect 

-honor others.. lifting others up with joy

-Joseph choose to honor his brothers even if they don't deserve it

6. be patient with others

-when we become angry, stir up conflict

-why get angry? God is not like that

-temper is a sign that, deep inside, there is unresolved frustration

-why God favours one offering and not the other

-how to respond when God says no (things don't turn out the way we expected)

-Cain has the power to choose how he want to respond to the sin 

-Cain uncontrolled angry cause him to murder
