key to understanding how to live in the end times

Jesus has 2 purposes for Revelation:
1. encourage ppl to persevere when suffering for Him and gospel

-testimony of Jesus
coming = to come in person... personally show up
7 beatitudes in relevation
the book of revelation will rearrange our priorities and patterns of life
there is a purpose to these prophecies
-cos the bible alr prophecy darkness will intensify in the world, we will keep trusting God tt He is in total control
Asia = a part of turkey
seven spirits = the Holy Spirit has 7 characteristics and Jesus has them all
-7 aspects of the Holy Spirit brings
-the Holy Spirit in fullness
-the book of revelation is filled with number "7"
-7 stars are the 7 angels
-7 lampstands are the 7 churches
7 is not a holy number... even Satan the dragon has 7 heads
book of revelation has the most Christology
-Jesus is the faithful witness
-Jesus is also the resurrection
-Jesus loved us and died for us
-so tt we will be reconciled with Father God
-Jesus the lamb of God has established the covenant
-God wants us to share His rule when He returns
-the sacrifices we offered to Him are praises and worship unto God
in the old testament, we cant combine king and priest
but now under the new covenant, we are like Jesus, both a king and a priest
-focus: Jesus is coming back
-see: stare at something amazing
-Jesus' coming will not be a secret
in this coming, Jesus will make all things wrong right
alpha & omega = full, complete
we will suffer for righteous, but blessing will come!
Satan will seek to inflict as much pain to God's ppl
we need to have patience and long suffering like Jesus!
Jesus was totally sinless
Jesus lost none of His patience, gentleness

selfless love - when ppl back stab
-
joy & peace - when there's nothing to be happy abt in the natural
-
long suffering - all you feel is pain, and preserve through the suffering
-
kindness - when everyone is unkind, yet we choose to be kind
-
gentleness & self-control - when in situation being provoked to lose temper but we didn't do any of it
*this is why we need the Holy Spirit
*we don't have to rejoice for suffering but we rejoice knowing that God will deliver us
God allow difficult times so tt we can grow in Him, so tt our faith can be strengthen
