-relationship takes time
-the biggest obstacle is busyness

-sabath
-a time set every week for our soul to breath, make time and space for God to pour love to us and then from us to ppl are us
-God created the Sabbath for us as a gift for us
-a day to slow down , renew and refresh, letting the Holy Spirit
1.
-God rested
-if we don't follow, we are breaking the rythem God has created for us
-God rested purposely not cos He's tired but so that He can celebrate
-God blessed humans, animals and sabath
-sabath gives life

RESTED SOUL

-Jesus was busy but He knew His limit, when to stop, when to retreat when to return
-when to slow down and be in silence and solitude
-were we too busy that we missed Jesus even if He is in front of us (Martha's problem)
-angry with people easily and irritable by things
it is in God that we find freedom and refreshed

-the secret ingredient is God
-we can be alone and quiet but if God is not there, there's no help
   -engage in God

3 things happen in God's presence
1. meditation
-is not mindfulness
   -mindfulness = clearing mind
-engaging our mind with God's Word
   -being strengthen by God's Word
meditating = any mental activity in the Word
-applying our mind to the Word of God

2. Contemplation
-simply quieten our heart and soul to receive and rest on God's love
-let go of the control
-be quiet and just trust
-soaking in God's love
-Christ in me and I in Christ.. not Christ for me
-not study and not mediating
-in contemplation is just sitting there enjoying God's presence without agenda

be real self in real God

SLOW DOWN

-busyness leads to burnt out... -wearing busyness as a badge, thinking that we are important
-also giving people feels that we are busy
   -desire to have wealth, prestige
-make time for God... busyness is a curse

"Be still and know tt I am God" Psalm
   -be still and not busy!
we just need to slow down to find the balance in life

5 things to learn from Jesus
1. slow-down spirituality
Jesus pace of life is slow... He always have time to hold a child, pray for the sick
-Jesus chose to live an unhurried life... Not rushed by the pressure of the people
if we are too busy, there's no way to deepen the love in life

2. sabbath rest

-God rested to take a break so that he can enjoy His creation.. to deepen relationship with His creation
-Adam was created on the 6th day.. the first day of his creation is to enjoy God
-we need the rest to find the easy yolk..  find the light burden in rest
3. silence and solitude
Jesus did everything very well, He has excellence in His work

-the more Jesus is needed by the people, the more He retreat to pray
-have a clear mind and hearing from Father

being quiet is not easy

-Paul is a busy person
-there is a beauty is being quiet

4. devotional prayer

-not wanting to win the whole world and lose our soul, losing the love
-we need both
-the fruit of the spirit requires connection with people to blossom
5. detachment
free from the need (wealth, prestige) of our life to become a certain form
-genuine joy and peace that our life needing to go in a certain way
-doesn't matter what happen good or bad cos God is with us
less busy life is not being lazy... But like Jesus... doing less to do more
