THE MIND OF JESUS

we must walk in repentance cos God wants to give us a new mind set

God has come to set us free, don't let our past tie us down

-restore our mind which is not working

-the more we renew our mind, the more the Holy Spirit can dwell and manifest in us

-God wants to renew our mind

-our life changes the moment our thinking changes

renewing our mind requires..

1. our focus on the word of God

2. focus of our whole being

3. our focus on the Holy Spirit

-transformation is an option.. we can choose to or not to be transformed

-we are living in a room with dark curtains... the room is dark... We have the choice whether to pull the curtain

   -curtain represents our past... Are we willing to pull away our past and let the light comes into the room

God wants to renew our mind and being so that He can dwell in us

THEOSIS - SPIRITUAL UNION part2

-katharis - to cleanse, flush out all the impurities

-not allowing impurities of life to poison us

-to tangibly experience God

-knowledge is experiential

for theoria to happen, we need to have the right spiritual temperature

light and righteousness

we must desire to live a life of righteousness

-love is the spirit of love

-fruit of the spirit

not just words but demonstration of the spirit's power

-if without righteousness, become a compromiser... we cant see God, no encounter

-if without love, become a harsh person / loveless person

-if without power, will have a very dry religion.. no powerful encounters.. can be dangerous, spiritually dead

THEOSIS - SPIRITUAL UNION part1

-the moment we believe in Jesus, eternal life will spring out of us

-the more we know God, the more eternal life

we will be swallowed up by the ocean of life, ocean of love

-we may be converted, but may not be fully surrendered

-when we are in heaven, we will be filled with joy

-flush out the impurities of our life... so that we can see God

-dont be shock of temptation it is normal...

   -its normal to worry, nervous, anger, upset... but important to not hold on for too long!!

      -dont let them infect us

-the greatest tiredness is not physical, but mental and emotional

-ppl may offend us, but when we hold on to it, its draining us!

-when we forgive, we are not doing them a favor, but a decision not to suffer further

our life cannot be lived without a moment of forgiveness

-let God be the judge... we make the point to forgive, forget the pain

LIFE'S INTERRUPTION - LIFE OF JOSEPH

Joseph shared his dreams with his brothers and thinking they will rejoice with him.. however, his brothers were jealous

again and again, Jesus goes through interruption. however, Jesus is not upset or annoyed 

interruption is used by God to show up to do something powerful

Joseph started off well, then sold to Egypt, was doing well then thrown in the prison but was favored

-God may take away some things from us.. cos God wanted to protect us

-God may not answer our prayers... cos it may not be good for us

1. Joseph stayed close to God

-the bible didnt mentioned "the Lord was with Joseph" when he was with his father Israel

-Joseph turned his problems into prayer, his worries into worship

   -Joseph chose to stay close with God

2. Joseph studied his environment

-everything happened for a reason

3. Joseph served with excellence

-instead of trying to get out of our pit through rebellion, get out of your pit through promotion

   -never be promoted to the next level if we dont have anyone to serve

      -2 groups of ppl... those above us, those under us / members

4. Joseph didnt go back to his past

-if we ever need to go back to our past, conduct a burial, not a party

-our past will call us, but it has nothing new to say

-reason of our misery, pain

-in our misery and pain, God wants to reveal His comfort
