BOOK OF REVELATION L14

-Book of Revelation is a double mentioned book

   -can be split down into Rev 1-11 and Rev 12-22

Rev 1 John had a vision of heaven, given a mandate by Jesus to reveal the future tt He was showing Him

Rev 2-3 Jesus gave John the message to the 7 churches, also for Christians of all time

Rev 4-5

Rev 6 John saw the sorrows and the Great Tribulation when the Antichrist unleash unrestrained evil on the church.. the Day of the Lord comes

Rev 7

Rev 8-9

Rev 9-11a during the Great Tribulation, God will raise up 2 witnesses to withstand the Antichrist and his evil forces

Rev 11b the world ends and our Lord shall reign forever

Rev 12-13 Antichrist, Satan, false prophet

Rev 14 rapture

Rev 15-16 wrath of God on the wicked

Rev 17-18 Antichrist and the false prophet

Rev 19 Jesus's return to the earth

Rev 20 fate of Satan and how the saints will reign with Christ in earth for a thousand years

Rev 21-22 eternity, how the new earth and new heaven will be like

the pre-tribulationist believe in 2 comings of Jesus.. 1 invisible, 1 visible

but theres only 1, which is the Day of the Lord

both 1Thess and Matt 24 is talking abt the same event 

-when theres lighting in the sky, ppl can see it

-during the coming of Christ, it will not be secret, but visible to all

-being taken up will not be a secret

   -Jesus disciples saw Jesus being taken up into the sky

   -Jesus's 2nd coming is visible to the whole world, so is the rapture

-when these signs happen, the prophecy will surely come to pass

-before God judges the wicked, He always take the righteous to a place of safety

   -both Noah and Lot escaped the wrath of God.. the flood (Noah), fire and brim stone (Lot)

   -rapture will happen to take God's ppl to safety cos God is going to pour His wrath on the earth

-when Jesus comes, He is the body, the centre of attraction.. attract all the ppl to Him

   -Jesus liken Himself as the carcass, a powerful source of attraction tt will draw His ppl for a great great gathering

-the Day of the Lord is

   -the day of God's wrath

   -the day of the cosmic blackout

   -not the great tribulation

only 1 resurrection and only take place when the last trumpet is sounded

-why a roar? Jesus will return as a lion of Judah.. for 2 reasons..

   -prevent the church from being totally wiped out by the Antichrist

   -prevent Israel from total antisemitism

they are talking abt the same occasion --- the Day of the Lord

-all (not some) of the saints will be raised and changed at the last trumpet

   -there will not be another trumpet.. just 1

there are no biblical justification to believe tt the rapture and the return are separate events

they both happen on the same day

-a good intension without truth, its still an untrue, a deception

-when we form doctrine from the Bible, they cannot contradict each other

-Jesus expects us to know abt the future.. Hes the one who puts it in the bible so we need to know

we should encourage one another more when we see the day approaching

-we should be prepared to suffer persecution and hardship

   -yes, God wants to bless us, but every hero in the bible also went through sufferings

-persecution is expected

Paul is not afraid to die..

the worse of suffering is tt we die.. but its not the end when we breathe our last breath.. its just the beginning

only suffering brings forth the fruit of perseverance

-it is wrong to presume tt those who love the Lord will escape the great tribulation

   -those who love Jesus will be the prime target for Satan!

-the disciples didnt escape from suffering but they were kept from compromising their faith, kept from having their faith shipwrecked

-to be kept from something, its not necessary to escape but to preserve through it, to stand immovable in faith

-all these things.. 6 seals in Luke 21:8-17 --- deceptions, wars, famines, deaths through diseases and natural disasters, great tribulation, cosmic blackout during the Day of the Lord

-look up! Jesus is coming to save us in a rapture

-what must we escape in the great tribulation.. the carousing, drunkardness, and cares of this life

   -life of pleasure seeking, life of lust without self control, life cares and securities of this world

   -we must always guard our hearts against them

BOOK OF REVELATION L13

uses the temple of God to symbolize what will happen in Jerusalem in the end times

-measurement is symbolic preservation or destruction

   -gives specific number

when temple is measured, it shows tt God knows every dimension

God knows exactly

   -which area will be forbidden by the Gentile forces

   -how many will die in this invasion

   -how many will be alive to resist the Antichrist

During the end times, those who doesn't believe in God (foreign forces) will come and invade the City of Jerusalem

   -but they will not invade the entire city

before the coming of Christ, half of the city of Jerusalem will be invalided.. for 3.5years

Daniel - Antichrist will bring sacrifice and offerings to an end

Jesus - when the Antichrist image is set at the City of Jerusalem, its a sign tt the great tribulation has begun

Paul - Antichrist will sit in the temple as God

when army surrounds Jerusalem, we know tt soon the Antichrist will set up the temple of God

-God will raise up 2 men who will stand against the Antichrist and his forces

-this 2 men will prophesy and prevent the half to be taken away

-sackcloth speaks f mourning

   -they will preach and demonstrate repentance

-in scripture,

   -man is likened to tree

   -olive is the basic ingredient for anointing of the Holy Spirit

-lampstand, being the light in the darkness

   -2 lights to testify the greatness and goodness of God

-anointing is given to demonstrate the power of God's words, supernatural signs and wonders through our lives

the 2 witnesses can call fire.. just like Elijah

-at tt time, Israel worship Baal, Elijah stood as a shining light, full of power of God

   -when the enemies came, he called fire down from heaven to destroy them

-the 2 witnesses have power to shut heaven

   -no rain = drought, result in scarcity of water.. will further worsen when the waters at the enemy turn into blood

   -call for plagues as often as they will

the 2 witnesses are men!

at the end of the 3.5 years, the witnesses will be killed by the Antichirst

John came in the anointing and attitude of Elijah

why is John more likely to be 1 of the 2 witnesses

1. hint from the scripture

bottomless pit is not yet hell (lake of fire)

Jesus didnt say tt John will not die, but tt John will be ard at Jesus' 2nd coming

2. message of the 7 thunders

this angel was very loud and roared to awaken the ppl of the earth to prepare the judgement of God against all nations

-the words of the seven thunders were not to be disclosed.. its not yet time to be revealed

-John must come back to reveal what was spoken in the seven thunders

-when the 7th angel sounded his trumpet, the earth (present age) comes to an end

   -all the mysteries will be answered

-the devil will be locked up for a thousand years, and we will enter the new age

every word tt God speaks were not spoken in man

3. message of the little book

-why God gave John a bitter book to eat

   -the book was bitter cos it is filled with sorrows and judgement of God.. bitter words

-eat and go speak

-John has the message of the little book

   -but we dont know what is in the book.. must be a message to the ppl of the great tribulation

4. promise of a worldwide ministry

God promised John a worldwide ministry

-the Antichrist kills John and the whole world sees it (via media which is impossible in the past)

-the ministry of the 1 witness will be broadcast to the whole world from Jerusalem

5. the spirit of Elijah

John had the same spirit as Elijah

   -aggressive spirit to confront

-spirit of Christ is spirit of mercy and grace.. to save sinners

-the 2 witnesses will have a define mandate to defend Israel by destroying the forces of Antichrist with fire from heaven

6. fulfill the prophecy of Jesus

4 baptism Jesus have to go through

   -baptism of John

   -water baptism..Father, Son and Spirit

-baptism in the Holy Spirit

-baptism of suffering

John suffered for the gospel, but he didnt die as a martyr

the beast.. he has alr been described by the prophet Daniel

-Sodom known for immortality and Egypt for salvery 

-similarly, half of Jerusalem be taken to captivity and come under the oppression of the Antichrist and gentile forces during the great tribulation

7. the new Testament witness

-theres 2 Testament.. at the end times, 1 from Old Testament, 1 from New Testament

-old testament ends with the mention of Elijah, New Testament ends with the mention of John

-ppl celebrate after seeing the death of the 2 witnesses.. they cant stand hearing the truth of God's word

   -they are unrepentant, and the church suffers

Jesus will return 3.5days after the death of the 2 witnesses and rapture His ppl

   -ppl will be in great fear for those who do not know Jesus

the 2 witnesses will be resurrected and raptured tgt with all the saints, dead and alive

John was greatly blessed and highly favored but was greatly persecuted and suffered

-blessing and suffering is not exclusive

   -they come tgt

-the 2 witnesses will have supernatural power to perform miracles and wonders

-only God's anointing can overcome the evil forces

-the anointing is the supernatural ability to excel in life and ministry

   -especially healing and miracles

say and do the right things at the right place at the right time with the right ppl

be skillful

leadership ability to be true leaders.. otherwise easily swayed by our pride, becoming man pleasers

its good to be appointed, it is far more impt to be anointed
