KINGDOM OF GOD - JESUS' FINAL WORDS

God is a spirit.. nobody knows what He's like, but we know that Jesus is like God

-our destiny is not what we do but what we become

-everything we do in life is so that we can be Christlike

transformed (process) to conformed (result)

we must not mistake the vessel for the treasure! the vessel is not the main thing

-the real treasure is the spirit within us, spiritual life

-the church, our bodies are the vessels

3 commands between power and presence

-simply by believing in Jesus is not enough.. even the demons knew Jesus

-a disciple wants to learn abt everything Jesus teaches now and forever

only if we are Christlike, only then we can enjoy God

God is one being in 3 persons

-no self-centeredness

-love is the core attribute of God

-to be immersed in the love of God all day long

the only way to know God is being transformed by His love

1. scripture study

2. Jesus is always in prayer

3. Jesus fast

4. Jesus worshiping every week

6. Jesus spend time talking abt the kingdom of God

7. Jesus always in silence and solitude.. the most impt

-Christianity is not knowing God but fully known by God

-dont worry what others are doing.. we are not to compete with others...

-cultivate the fruit of the spirit

-we must work, but not in a way that burns us out, not affecting our spiritual life

-God often use the painful times to get our attention

-power, wealth and prestige is not wrong in itself.. but if they are distractions, then its not worth it

PUTTING GOD IN REMEMBERANCE

when praying, when we call God first, we are putting God first

situations overwhelm us tt we forgot to put God first

putting God in remembrance provokes gratitude

what we need to remember

1. remember what God has done for us

remembering goodness of God gives courage

remembering what God has done for us evokes gratitude

we must consciously remember how God save us

2. remember what God is doing in us

we want God to resolve out problems instantly

-Paul is reminding the Christians that God is working in them to make them more Christlike

-God is working behind the scene for our good

the more we focus on Him, the more Christlike we can be

3. remember wat God will be doing for us

-to those who are alr in Chrsit, the best have yet to be

-this is the key to courage

God will help if we believe

for us who are in Christ, we can have the confidence that God is holding our life

CROWD CONDITIONED CHRISTIANS

when we learn to submit to God, God will bring us out of the situation

repentance is for us to experience the new

-repentance is not a one time event, but a everyday thing

-more than just repenting old sinful habits in the past, but also one's stubborn way of think

   -with the stubborn way of thinking, we wont be able to experience the new

-what we have been thinking thus far, may not be applicable today..

-after God revealed areas to change or let go, we must make a decision to change  willing to be led by God in this journey of change

Jesus is not against buying and selling... but ppl are trading in the temple..

-none of the ppl seems to mind the disturbance

-we were so used to worship with the crowd tt we are unable to do it on our own

crowd condition.. doing something thinking cos everyone also doing tt

-tts why Jesus always ask to have silence and solitude

-"cos everyone is doing so" became an excuse for us

-there's certain darkness that is so dark tt only the truth of Jesus can shines through it

-no matter how clean and pure we feel we are.. in the glory of God, we will see our areas in our life tt needs to be changed

-in the crowd, we will be able to hide... in a crowd, we are nothing but just a number...

-in God, God calls us by name!

God not interested in the crowd, the numbers... God is more interested in individuals

a crowd will turn into a mob... and the mob will kill you

   -Jesus always withdraw from the crowd into

from the day1, Jesus nv put His trust in the crowd, but God the Father

staying away and isolation is different!
