THE EASY YOKE

-Jesus offers rest

-following Jesus is suppose to be joyful

-we are joined together with Jesus to serve Him

-Jesus offers both rest and yoke... It's an easy and light yoke 

serving is hard for those who work to be good enough for God

serve to get blessing from God

-older brother wants to be deserving of the blessing

   -when he didn't get it, he was so angry cos he worked so hard!

-wants the gift, not the giver... -its easy to get angry at God when the blessing we want doesn't come

serve to pay back

-cos Jesus saved, so have to repay.. all abt us and not for God

-serving should only be cos of love

don't serve to impress people!

-it's ok to enjoy praises but don't make it that we are seeking for people's notice or appreciation

   -if ppl don't get impressed, tend to give up or serve harder

serve thinking that we are indispensable

-think too highly of self

-Jesus asked Marta why is she so busy

serve for a sense of belonging

-when Simon saw the power, he wants to buy it so that he can belong to the group that has power like the apostle

-serving is very hard when Jesus is not in the mix

-the disciple use all the skills but not sought after Jesus

-Jesus did not come so that we can serve Him, but Jesus has come to serve us

-Jesus don't expect us to serve

-Jesus loves and accepts us no matter whether we serve or not

-e serve cos we want to and not we have to... there is no competition

-we don't treat a friend and a servant the

   -servant do just as told..no questions asked

   -a friend always have our back...a friend is someone who can trust

All Goliath sees is a kid

The Philistines sees that their giant (Goliath) is dead and they fled

David knows that He needs the Lord and His is with Him.. he doesn't have to be afraid

Strength can be weaknesses cos ppl looks at others strength

God takes weaknesses and turns it into strength

Maturity is a matter of the heart, not on the eyes

Alr single at 40s, meaning alr destined to be single life and how to cope with the loneliness

   Loneliness does not depend on whether married or not... Can be married but lonely.. we can be  in a room of thousands but feel lonely too

   Let God fill us.. have a relationship with God and it is a relationship 

   Love everyone and be genuine... Ppl have eyes and are looking...

   Surrender our desires to God

   If we were meant to marry, the right 

How to we know if we are meant to be single

   We are called to be married, raise children to

   Some ppl are called to single.. Jesus is single, apostle John is single

      Won't have the desire of being attached

      Won't be envy of ppl with family

How to be attractive

   Cultivate the fruit of the spirit... Be joyful, committed in friendship, generous

Is it ok to date a non Christian

   It's not a good idea... It's good to have the de spiritual temperature

   Thought can be a Christian, but could have different level of values (such as attending church, etc)

What happen when we are angry with God is God didn't give us a spouse

   It's ok to be angry and express to God.. we are to be honest to God

-Marriage is impt, but it's not as impt as relationship with God

Should we talk abt money marriage

No secrets in marriage

The one better in finance should take charge

Where do we draw the line with friends of the opposite gender

No secrets in the marriage.. spouse should only know abt the friendship but also ok with it

Nv share something to another person in the opposite gender that you won't tell your spouse

Is it ok to have a best friend of opposite gender

No... Though not physically, but being emotionally attached is unfaithfulness

How much freedom is the measurement of freedom for teenage children

   Not only freedom but also respect

   God is the father, Adam and Eve is the children

      God gave Adam and Eve the freedom to make their own decisions even God knows that the mistake they make will corrupt the whole world

         God didn't come with a cane or anger but lovingly

Allow the children to make their own decisions and face the consequences

   Cultivate God's value to them, pray and allow the Holy Spirit to move
