DO NOT WORRY

-

-the cross reminds us that God is in our situation

   -the truth will give us the grace to not worry 

-if not a call to neglect preparing for tmr.. but a call to not be anxious about our life after we have done our best 

-Jesus is inviting us to discover this truth

-our heavenly Father cares for us 

How to not be worry (when you are running out of supply and feeling worried)

1. Check our connection to the source

-

-

-

-we don't add hour, but shortening our lifespan by worrying 

-doctors only can extend our life, but God can add good years to our life 

-

-being the head and not the tail but under the authority of God

-steward is given access to the kingdom 

-in the world, we want control instead of access

   -this is the source of anxiety....cos we are fighting for control 

   -humble ourself and surrender to God, give back control to God 

      -to allow God to take over our life 

-

2. Consider how much God loves and cares for us 

-we need to stop listening to the negative thoughts 

-spend alone time with God

-nature can evoke and let us see the beauty and power of God's majesty, God's creation 

-

-dont grumble... From grumble to gratitude 

-

THE HOLY SPIRIT LOVES US

-do not be anxious abt anything, but offer prayer with thanksgiving and the peace of God will fill our heart and mind

   -look to the Lord!

-God still wants to be present both in good times and bad but mankind hid themselves

   -as time goes by, mankind walked further and further away from God... man fails to recognize Him

-Moses pleaded to God... without God's personal present, Moses wont want to go

-its the presence of God with us that distinguishes us as His ppl... not our talents, riches

-when we call out to God, He is merciful

-as such, dont be afraid

-God wants to dwell in His ppl... Jesus came and dwelt with His ppl

   -for 33.5 years crucified, died, buried and on the 3rd day rose and ascended to heaven

-the personal presence of God is the Holy Spirit abiding in us forever

God has nv left... be anxious for nothing

-when we are in trouble, God didnt send someone else to help us, but God Himself help us

-the Holy Spirit knows what we are going through

   -He weeps when we weep, He laugh when we laugh

-in everything, give thanks for who God is...

   -dont let anything rob us

2. praise

-dont let fear robs us from our praise

-praise cures depression

praise has a voice!

3. worship

-worship demands presence

   -we have to be present with our full being (focus, mind and spirit).. just like God is present

      -a person cannot be fulling present when multi tasking

to push the pause botton, and put aside everything and give God our full attention

3 CHRISTMAS GIFTS FROM GOD

happiness and peace is what ppl are searching for

whats the point of having wealth and procession where we dont have happiness and peace?

-worries, anger causes anxiety

-ppl are always thinking and living in the future... stress, anxiety, tiredness increases

-happiness is often described as a feeling, a positive quick sensation... to many, happy is a craving for a pleasurable feeling

are these really happiness?

-feel great

-feel appreciated (appreciated and recognition)

-feel in control (in control of things)

-feel safe (enough $$ in the bank account for the future

-feel less tired (solve the problem and get some rest so tt wont feel so tired anymore)

It's just a sensation trigger by something and make us feel good

-problem is they dont last.. only for awhile.. come and go very quickly

   -looking for the next thing to feel good again, but nv satisfied

-being at the top is becoming addictive

Jesus is born to tell us that theres a happiness tt doesnt come and go... this kind of happiness is JOY

-joy comes directly from God

when Jesus is in our life, it doesnt matter how ppl look at us

-happiness is not just a feeling tt comes and go depending on situation

JOY is the 1st Christmas present from God

PEACE is the 2nd Christmas present from God

-peace doesnt mean theres no trouble, but not troubled by troubles

-when we are in a stress out situation, we tend to react negatively

-inner peace overcomes from all the troubles of the world

-take time to sleep, rest, pray

plan for the future, but not over plan... dont dwell in it

   -learn to enjoy today

   -learn to be calm and trust God more

FAVOUR is 3rd Christmas present from God

-favor = demonstrated delight

   -God protect, preserve and heal us

- favor = preferential treatment

   -God's righteous will make us stand out from the crowd (better jobs, increment, healing in the mist of troubles)

-Christmas is abt favor especially in family (relationship with family members)

-Christmas is abt the birth of Jesus

-Jesus maybe born a thousand times, but if He's not born in our hearts, we will still be in our sins

   -all we have to do is just to receive Jesus into our heart
