THE HUMANITY OF JESUS

Jesus could have come down to this world as powerful superhero, but He took up the nature of servanthood

the key to living in this world is not easy, but we as human being, can have God who strengthen us

learn to depend on God

only when we are weak then God can be strong in us

only God can give security in life.. without God, we are bankrupt.. even if we are rich in everything

3 benefits of depending on God

-theres a difference between self confidence and God confidence

   -God confidence is having the courage to face anything in life despite limitations and weakness

-when we have God confidence, our mindset will change

-every time students go through a test, the teacher is always silent

-balance is the key to life

-God wants us to be spiritual, but not to be out of this world

miserable comforters are people who are very spiritual but lost touch of the world

*they were good spiritual advice... but all failed to make humanity connections...

LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF

learn how to navigate culture without losing our value

-loving ppl of opposite cultures / beliefs

-love your neighbor as yourself.. it's a commandment from God

   -just like how God is

   -we can't do it simply in our own strength.. but when God's love and nature is in our heart

Jesus have to be our Lord

The way to do it is to make God the Lord of our life

self.. pride, arrogance

the Pharisees studied a lot abt God but practice otherwise

-if we are not careful, we will be proud...

-we become chosen cos Jesus ransomed us

-it's impossible to try to model Jesus and live like Jesus... but we can when we have Jesus in our heart

   -do we have more of Jesus or self?

-get rid of the self tt is hindering Jesus from becoming our Lord

the expert thinks it's impossible to love everyone... tts why he qn Jesus "who is neighbour"

Gospel neighbouring

your neighbour should not be limited to who.. It's anybody

-what if we were the one who is in need of mercy?

-what happen if the same thing happen to us

-one day, we may be the one in need of mercy?

-the expert is blinded by superior tt he may be the one in need

do to others you want ppl to do to you

-it's not just God is savior, but God is Lord of our life

-every act of love is unique

-love must be personal and sacrificial

-love has a name.. Jesus

-love is the giving of own self for the benefit of others

this is the kind of love
