PASSION FOR GOD part 2

-God move us to follow, we must respond

5. honor others about ourselves 

-loving people starts with the people around us

-see them as importance and treated them with respect 

-honor others.. lifting others up with joy

-Paul responded in love and manners

-Paul's honor and love for people melts the hardest of heart

-We cannot control the situation, but we can decide how we respond

-Joseph choose to honor his brothers even if they don't deserve it

6. be patient with others

-when we become angry, stir up conflict

-why get angry? God is not like that 

-

-

-temper is a sign that, deep inside, there is unresolved frustration

-

-why God favours one offering and not the other

-how to respond when God says no (things don't turn out the way we expected)

-Cain has the power to choose how he want to respond to the sin 

-Cain uncontrolled angry cause him to murder 

-Jesus prayed "Father forgive them"

-

LOVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

-the Holy Spirit is the bond binding us with God

-love is the greatest, more than faith

faith works through love

-the kingdom of darkness operates through fear

-Jesus always encourage.. "do not be afraid"

revival always happen in the most difficult hardship

-loving God, loving ppl and great power released

-love is always the key

what welcomes the Spirit into our life

1. zero anger

-every time we are angry, we grieve the Holy Spirit

-when the Holy Spirit is quenched, He leaves with His power

the Holy Spirit left Saul... 

-Saul was jealous and angry

-only God can be angry and not sin

Saul had a spear in his hand

-anger will grieve the Holy Spirit and drives Him away

-clamor = raising voice when angry

-evil speaking = gossips, spreading bad news and rumours

3. zero resentment

the Holy Spirt is a very forgiving spirit

Simon Magus wanted to buy the Holy Spirit.. but the Holy Spirit cannot be bought with money

Simon Magus wanted the power cos he has bitterness in him

-its hard to forgive those who dont deserves... but the hurt and resent is poisoning us!

   -continue to stay in love so that the Holy Spirit can fill us with His love

THE SCARS OF JESUS

-the disciples were hiding in the upper room, fear of the Jews and the Romans soldiers were hunting after them

-Jesus came and showed them intentionally His scars

   -God gave Jesus a glorified body with the scars

-the scars were the only man-made thing tt Jesus brought back to heaven

during the 8 days, Thomas must have been told by the disciples abt Jesus' coming back

-Jesus came back the 2nd time just for Thomas

-God hears our deepest cry

   -God is faithful even when we are faithless

wound turned to scars... wound are healed

why didnt God remove the scars from Jesus

1. the scars remind us of His sacrifice on the cross

2. the scars remind us of His victory on the cross

Jesus overcome the power of sin and death

3. the scars remind us of Jesus' obedience on the cross

-Jesus was willing to die on the cross cos His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that we would be His

-scar is a wound that have been healed..

   -wound closed up so that we can move on in life

-how we feel abt our scars often depends on how we have the scar

-our value and worth in defined God.. not by our past

God wants to heal our wounds and use it for a great future

dont let past wound open and allow it to poison our soul

when Jesus came, Thomas was overwhelmed... he could only believe
