A door is to block or allow access

2 things we do... entering and leaving

-how we leave will be how we enter

-to do that, we need to go through doors

-sometimes doors are locked... But God is our door keeper... he can open doors that nobody can shut

-God can break those chains and set us free

-dont allow our situation affect us

-God will show us a way out and a way in

-

-we work during the day, but sleep in the night

-

-we must learn to follow God's will and plan

   -if we have our own plan, the gatekeeper will not show up

-

-God can open doors, He can also shut doors

-God shut door for protection

   -God closed the door cos He knew that they were not ready

-God kept the door shut to protect Noah and animals from the flood

-we need to have the confidence that God shut the door for a purpose

the 4 frens were undeterred cos they know that in the presence in Jesus, there is healing

the man not only received forgiveness of sins, but healing 

3 groups of ppl 

1. the Pharisees and teachers if the law

they are here to judge Jesus instead of hearing what the Lord have to say

2. the crowd 

they have no compassion on the people.. they are on their own interests 

they are indifferent, cold, no room and no time for others 

doing well, no time for God or ppl 

3. 

they were there not for themselves but the paralyzed man 

their actions unleashed the power the God.. ALL witnessed the glory of God

even so, Jesus welcomes them all 

3 lessons we can learn from this 4 friends 

1. unyielding love 

they remain undeterred even if they were not welcome 

their love was the primary motivation 

love unleashes miracles

2. unwavering hope

we must hold on to the hope in our heart 

alr but not yet kingdom of God 

there is still bad and evil, sickness 

but when Jesus comes back, He will make all things new where there will be no sadness

there are promises from God and God is faithful to keep and do it 

3. persistent faith 

Jesus saw their faith.. its visible 

faith without action is dead.. we must take action!

no stopping until is it done

-there is this devine encounter between Samuel and God

-ths world is so loud that we don't hear God

   -it's not that God has stopped speaking, but we are listening to the world

      -in the world (social media), there's no waiting

-God shows compassion to those who fear Him, those who are honest to himself

   -to fear God is to have alot of influence in our life.. allowing God the be the prime influence in our life

      -by the power of the Spirit... And it leads to obedience

-the binding of Isaac

-God does not have the intension to kill Isaac, but to Abraham, it's the most challenging

-God is giving Abraham the greatest test

-something that can stand the test of time

-the more we want to go deeper in God, the more challenging test

-Abraham was very closed to Isaac

   Not just a test of faith but test of love

-there was no delay.. Abraham obeyed immediately

-Abraham obeyed God even if things don't make sense

-God made Abraham walked for 3 days cos God wants Abraham to consider and think through

   -obedience must be a conscious decision.. not something emotional

-"we will come back"... Abraham has great faith! But no matter what, he will obey

-Issac was 33 years old.. he could have ran away, but he chose to follow his dad's love

-

-God will never force His way into our live

-faith is not a formula or easy way to fame or blessings

-the deeper we want to go with God, the more willing we are to surrender the things we have

-obey even if we don't understand

-

-what is the real test of Abraham

-the measure of Abraham's love for God

-is Abraham more attached with the blessing or the blesser

-the previous tests, every sacrifice Abraham made, there is alot more in return

   -Issac... Theres no more blessing... Is Abraham still willing to sacrifice

-will we follow God if there is no blessings at all
