-after the tribulation tt the cosmic blackout happens
-when we see tt there is no light in the sun, the moon and the stars, we know tt it's the day of the Lord
we are alr redeemed by the blood of Jesus... So why another redemption?
Weaknesses such as shyness, anger, gluttony, lust, drunkardness, laziness
-in our hearts, we want to follow Jesus fully but we keep doing the wrong things
-our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.. It's is very impt
-no more struggle
-this will happen on the day Jesus returns
during the rapture, our body will be fully redeemed
The 4 angels have control over the destructive forces to execute God's judgement upon the whole earth
-before God judges the wicked, he always first delivers the righteous and takes them out of the way
sealing of the forehead is an identification mark tt sets apart those who belongs to Jesus
preaching the Word is not easy
-the Word was preached to them when they were only 1 year church
-more persecution, more widely the Word spreads... we must nv be afraid of hardship and sufferings
when God pours out His wrath, we wont be around
how the church puts their hope in the 2nd coming or Christ
the angels were told by God to put a seal on those who reject idolatry in the city
-those who were sealed with the mark will be spared from the wrath of God
-judgement always began at the house of God and it always begin with the leaders
-with power and knowledge comes great responsibility
-great multitude of ppl will be standing before Jesus after the rapture
-right after the rapture, the 7th seal begins...God pouring out his wrath and judgment
-during the great tribulation, it's either you are in God side or the devil side.. there's no middle ground
who will be raptured
-the seal of the Holy Spirit is both a comfort and challenge to us
-comforted, by having the assurance tt we belongs to Him
-challenge to depart from all evil doings
in ancient times, palm branches symbols triumph, peace of eternal life
-salvation on earth, we will feel tt it's just a decision to make to follow Christ and life goes on..but when we are standing in God's presence in heaven, the joy will be unspeakable
-salvation is by God's grace...there's nothing we can do tt can earn salvation
the church will persevere and come out of the great tribulation victoriously
-for 400 years the Israelites were treated like foreigners in the land they live in
-400 years later, God redeemed them, brought them to the land of their inheritance
we will have our inheritance, after the great tribulation is over
-today, we know Jesus by faith
-when we are in heaven, we will experience even more in a tangible way
-name of the Father written on them.. God acknowledges them as His sons and daughters
-as sons and daughters, God established us as heirs... we will share the inheritance with Jesus --- blessing, power, riches, wisdom, glory, honor, strength
-the Christians are the one who will be raptured
-the purpose of Jesus coming in to bring us to the Father
-redeemed = purchased by the blood of the lamb
-to be raptured, we can't earn it! It's by grace only, by faith only, in Christ only
-total commitment to one's partner... the only thing in marriage
-loyal to Christ all the way
-following Jesus is the most basic evidence since we are the sheep of the Shepard
-there's no such thing as being a Christian but not following Jesus
-in a hardship, we tend to put our self interest before others... even family will betray each other until death
-in the great tribulation, there will be hatred, betrayal, accusations
-watch our mouth!
-gossips, accusations, betrayal all comes from the mouth-
-spiritually mature are those who are able to control their mouth
-self control is the fruit of the spirit
-there must similar likeness in us with Jesus... living without fault
-our dedication and integrity towards God must be faultless
-we must be sharp, wise, smart but not naïve or gullible, sly and cunning!
being a Christian means:
1. complete devotion to Jesus
2. following Jesus
-becoming His disciples, learning from Him and completely obey Him
3. sacrificially offering ourselves to God
-living our life for Christ and the gospel
4. cultivating the fruit of the Spirit with our mouth
5. guileless
-person without guile
