the wilderness according to Mark's gospel

   -enter a season of wilderness with God, with courage, boldness

-it was the spirit of God that leads Jesus to the wilderness

The wilderness experience is

1. Process for promotion in our lives

-the devil maybe there in the wilderness

   -it is God who allows it and brings good things in our live

-there is a purpose behind every pain

-crisis can happen to everyone

-wilderness is a process that God brings us promotion in our live

-every season of hardship and suffering has an expiry date

-sometimes the way to last the wilderness is to endure till the end after we have done everything

   -the timing will come according to God

-spiritual warfare

-we have to stand after attacking the devil

   -sometimes, ppl lose faith after putting on armour of God

-we need to have Jesus alongside.. not methods to solve the problems

-we need to development our relationship with Jesus

2. A place where we encounter God

-feel darkness I'm wilderness

-there are wild animals, but there's also angels.. there are danger, but there's also presence of angels

-we need to see God's goodness in our darkness

-we have to pray.. but whether it's answered, it depends on God's will and timing

-why Mark uses wild animals in wilderness? Romans Christians faces persecution where wild animals were released to devour them

-only when we are going through the wilderness that we can see that God is our hope

-we must first be willing to go through the wilderness, hardship, suffering
