1. Calvinism
Calvinism is reformed technology, and reformed technology is Calvinism
God alr predestinated and human have no choice
total depravity
-even best motives of our heart are not unselfish and without self interest
-none seeks after God, but the benefits of God
-in someways, we are haters of God.. consequently, we only deserve God's wrath and eternal punishment
-the only cure is to be "born again"
-only by God alone, the work of the Holy Spirit
-God doesn't need our corporation to regenerate us, just like a dead corpse can't choose to live again
-we don't play a part for regeneration
-don't need any positive response from us
-it's wrong to give alter-call
unless the sinner is granted the gift of salvation, he can nv come to Christ
-when a person is not saved, it doesn't mean tt he has rejected the gospel but cos God has chosen not to offer him the gift
-in Calvinism, we cannot believe unless God makes us believe
those who don't believe is only because God has decided beforehand not to give them the faith to believe
-in Calvinism, before we can believe in Christ, we must first be born again
-unless God gives us a brand new heart, we can nv believe in Christ
-we don't believe to be born again but we are born again in order to believe
-God doesn't want for us to believe but sovereignly chooses who He wants to save
-before the fall, man have the free will
-after the fall, man only have the ability to sin and the inability to not sin
-original sin is not abt Eve eating the apple, = after the fall, man is incapable to live a life without sinning, we will keep sinning everyday
-no-one will choose to seek God, own his own free will choose Jesus
-only after we are born again that
-our bond is broken
-ability to sin and not sin
shall not be sad but grateful that God chose some to heaven and the rest to hell
unconditional election-God alone decides who to save and who not to save, doesn't need us to believe... monergism
-how God decides, nobody knows
-in predestination, God makes His decision cos of his sovereignty and glory
-the choosing is done in eternity, before the creation of the world
-in Calvinism, God's sovereignty and glory is the most crucial thing
before time began, God alr predetermine some for salvation and some for reprobation
-Calvinism believes that God is not being unjust to those tt are not chosen to salvation... but they deserved it
-man alr doesn't believe
-if there's no common grace, life on earth will be impossible.. too evil
-Judas betrayed Jesus cos his heart is alr evil.. he wanted the 30 silvers over other things
God can choose whom He love
God didn't put evil into Pharaoh's heart.. Pharaoh heart is alr wicked.. God only needs to remove His arm of restrain
-when Pharaoh is being judged, God is just.. He didn't make him wicked
-why God doesn't choose all to salvation
-we as Christians are predetermined, chosen by God for salvation
-it's not cos of our faith.. we didn't choose to believe in Jesus first
men need to be as dark as possible so the light will be so bright, God's glory
-when men go to hell, those who are saved will be properly humbled and give God all the glory He deserves
-God wanted to save all, but is restrained by His desire to display His full glory
limited atonementthe atonement is limited.. salvation is not possible for all

-opposite of Calvinism
-to Calvinism, we cant choose to believe
-if God doesn't give us faith, we won't be able to believe.. not our choice
-the gift of God is the grace!
Faith is our choice! Our free will
faith is the opposite of work.. it earns no merit from God
Abraham believed God and righteousness was accounted to him, not paid to him
-on the basis of Abraham's faith, he was accounted righteous
-faith precedes regeneration!
-Calvinism is wrong.. faith is not work
-repentance is also not good works though have to be through our actions
-we cant turn towards God without first turning away from sin
-it's a continuous inner decision we make in free will
-when we change our mind, we are not working
-grace tt goes before conversion
-work of the Holy Spirit.. drawing the sinners, opening their hearts and mind, teaching the truth and bring conviction of sin to Him
-whenever the gospel is proclaimed, prevenient grace will be released
-without prevenient grace, no one will ever turn to Christ
we have the free will to believe or not believe
God won't force, but He can foresee we will freely accept Him and who will freely reject Him
Calvinism

Arminianism
-God foresees all who will accept Him freely
God gives man the freedom to choose!
-this is what a personal love relationship is all abt
-we love, we pray and we trust
-God loves, God hears, God considers, and work all things for our eternal good
