-the fall of Babylon means God has answered the prayers of the martyrs who cried out day and night to Him for vindication
-it's not of personal revenge but God showing himself to be just, moral and undefeatable in extreme evil
Rev 18 Mystery Babylon and all her idolatry has been judged
Rev 19 Antichrist and his allies destroyed
Rev 20 Satan being bound for good and it's comes to an end and the final judgement will take place
-Jesus is the bridegroom and the church as His bride
-marriage... God's relationship with us is very loving and intimate
-Christianity is not a religious beliefs abt life but a real relationship with a living God
-how to be considered ready?
-the bride is ready when her wedding garment is on
-garment material is linen, clean and bright / white
-linen doesn't cause sweat
-sweat means to put under labour
-speaks of grace, righteousness tt does not come by our efforts or works
-spiritual cleansing comes by when are washed by the word of God
-we have to study the Word, obey the Word and be guided by the Word
-repentance.. change of mind, no works involved
-daily confess our sins
-we must wear our garments and watch over it to make sure we don't lose it!
2 types of righteousness
-legal standing with God.. God declaring us righteous
-by grace.. when we put on the garment of Christ, God no longer sees our sins we used to have.. we are seen righteous
-moral transformation.. life long process, yield to the Holy Spirit, and work out our own salvation with fear and trembling
-allow the Holy Spirit to change and mound us
-it's this corporation between God and man tt will get us ready
salvation is purely the work of Christ, but He wants a human response from us
we work according to God working in us
-marriage supper of the Lamb = gathering of the saints to meet the Lord in the air
-resurrection of the dead and living saints of God
-John was so amazed at these things that he started worshipping the angels.. but the angel stopped him
-we are not to worship any created being in matter how beautiful or glorious it is
-though man and angels are different, both are servants of the same Lord
-anyone who has the testimony of Jesus in him/her can prophesy
-apart from God, we mustn't worship anyone or anything
-there's no secret Jesus cant see, nothing will be hidden from Him
-there are certain mysteries tt God has yet to reveal to us
-Jesus' robe is dipped with blood of wicked in judgment
-armies = bride of Jesus
-God is ready to forgive all
-but those who are persistent in their pride, God will eventually bring judgement upon them
-as Christians, we are to love our enemies and commit them to God
-vengeance belongs to God.. Jesus will take vengeance for us
day of vengeance will be on the Day of the Lord, at the 2nd coming of Jesus
this will happen on the day of the black cosmic blackout
-the sun, moon, stars will stop shining
-the righteous have their blood shed for God.. on the Day of the Lord, the blood of the wicked will flow and righteous judgement will come upon them
marriage supper of the Lamb = 6th seal (cosmic blackout) and 7th seal (Day of the Lord)
-signs to watch out for, close we are to the 2nd coming of Christ... situation in Israel
-the Antichrist will occupy half of Jerusalem for 3.5 years
-God will bring 2 witnesses to stand against him
-Antichrist and evil forces will occupy half of Jerusalem
-Israel will be fighting a losing war and they desperately need God's help
-if God didn't intervene, Israel will be wiped out
-Jesus's 2nd coming
-God cannot allow the Jewish nation to be completely destroyed cos of His promise to Abraham (Abraham's seed will be as many as the stars in heaven and sand of the sea shore)
Jesus will come back not alone but with all His saints to take vengeance on the nations
-marriage supper of the lamb is therefore vengeance against all wickedness
-"Feast" on those who accepted the mark of the beast
-evil is finally removed from the earth and justice is finally served
-the marriage supper of the Lamb is therefore the gather of armies for 1 final world war, then God coming to execute His vengeance upon the wicked
-marriage is union, and supper is satisfaction
-Jesus coming in power and glory, and the church raptured... Then move tgt to Jerusalem to fight for Israel against Antichrist, evil forces and armies
-the nation sees it and were shouting
when God fights for us, even the weakest person will appear the strongest
-the Jews rejected Jesus and demanded Jesus to be crucified to the cross
-and they will see the holes in Jesus hands when He returns tt it's the same Messiah tt they rejected 2000 years ago
-they will weep, grieve and mourn.. cos they don't even recognize their own Messiah at His 1st coming
-it will be a day that the Jews finally accept Jesus as their Messiah
-Antichrist and the false prophet will be the 1st to be cast alive into hell
-there's no one in hell now
-dead goes to hades
-hades and hell are 2 different places
how we understand will determine how we live our life and our faith
1. no 1000 year reign of Jesus in earth before it after His 2nd coming
-Rev 20, there's a millennium reign of Christ
-no rapture, Satan alr bound
2. Jesus returns only after the millennium
-we alr have power on earth, and the whole world will become Christians.. --there's no need for rapture
-no Great tribulation cos the whole world will love Jesus
3. Jesus returns before the millennium
-our believes
pre-millennium
-while the Antichrist and false prophet are in the lake of fire, Satan is being locked up in hades
Jesus destroyed all the enemies at His 2nd coming
-there will be a great panic and confusion amg the armies of the world
-the nuclear will destroy all the military equipment
-there will be ppl alive in earth during the millennium
-non Christians who survived God's judgment
-Christians were alr raptured
-they are normal beings who will have children, grow old and die
-they are the ones the saints will reign over tgt with Christ for 1000 years
-there will still be rebellion during the millennium
-not cos of Satan cos he is alr bounded
-the grace of God will still be extended to the wicked
-last chance for the remnant on the earth
-it will be like Genesis days, ppl will live a very long life
-there will still be sinners and rebellion
-but during the millennium, there's peace and will be very glorious
-we can see Jesus with our physical eyes and be with Him
-there will be great fruit during the millennium... many many will come to Christ
-the wicked and unbelieving will only resurrect after the millennium
-resurrected to be punished in hell
-1st resurrection takes place before the millennium, 2nd after the millennium
-when Satan is released, he will gather for a battle with the saints
-even ppl have seen Jesus visibly, physically, heard Him audibly, and lived with Him for so long (during millennium), they still can be deceived by Satan
-the genuine freewill God has given to man... freely choose to accept or reject Him
-God intervenes and destroyed them
-Satan is finally cast into hell to join the Antichrist and false prophet
-hell was not originally planned for man, but for Satan and his demons.. but those who follow them must share his destiny
-following this is the final judgement
