-John was in truth but no love.. Jesus named him "son of thunder"

-John changed from son of thunder to one like Jesus. Full of truth and love

-the new command is the same as the one Jesus gave on the night He was betrayed

1. Loving one another is God's greatest desire for us

-

-this love makes us

   -so filled that sins are no longer tempting

   -so powerful that we can do amazing things for the kingdom of God

2. Loving one another is the proof of our salvation

-community is not an option to be loving

-having head knowledge of God is not sufficient.. even Satan knows God

3. Loving one another is the key to encountering God

-dont hurry ourselves.. walk in love and not run in love

4. Loving one another means to initiate the first step

-love takes the first step

-Jesus love us even when we are still unlovable

5. Loving one another means not giving room for hatred
