John saw the glory of God.. extreme brightness

the 24 elders are human?
the 24 elders are angels?
pretribulationist believe tt the 24 elders are overcomers dressed in white, in crown to rule and reign with Christ
-spirits are invisible.. therefore the Holy Spirit manifested to fire
-represents the source of light, who empowers the church
-the 7 lamps is not the 7 lampstand tt represents the 7 churches
surrounding the throne were 4 living creatures
2 types of angels
-seraphim
-cherubim
worship and service goes together
like the seraphim, angel..
-4 wings for worship, 2 wings for service
-full of eyes.. alert and sharp
-our worship and service must be intelligent and reasonable
-living for Christ could be above reason, beyond reason, but not against reason
-God doesnt want a blind service
the spirit attitude of prophesy is abt Jesus
-because Jesus is love, hope.. the prophesy cannot cause anxiety or fear.. it be must be a greater love, hope, rest in Christ as a result of the prophetic word
do not despise any prophecy
-macro prophecy gives general direction of our life and efficiently points us to Jesus
-micro prophecy is very detailed
-over time, if uncareful, will depend on prophet for daily guidance.. prophet will replace Jesus and his word replaces the bible
-risk of prophecy believing fortune telling / daily horoscope
*stay away from personal prophecy if they played too big a role.. we should be praying instead
-prophecy is primarily to confirm, not to guide
-for guidance, we must go to the word of God and the Holy Spirit
even Satan can disguise himself as angel of light
we mustnt worship angels
genesis 6: fallen angels were having sexual relations w human women in getting them pregnant and their children become giants
-the world is so corrupted w sins tt God destroyed it in a flood (Noah)
-how does those ppl without the Bible knows abt the features?
-only if Genesis 6 took place
-why these 4 features in the angels
-since the early church, these features are considered reflection of Christ as revealed in the 4 gospels
Lion --- Jesus the king
-more bold and confident in our talents and gifts
Ox --- Jesus serving the ppl, humble miracle worker, serving the humanity
-humbly serve the ppl in the community
Man --- Jesus the Son of Man, Jesus the perfect man
-we must live a normal, happy human life in this world
Eagle --- eagles fly in heaven, Jesus came from heaven
-we must soar as high as possible in the spiritual relm
*bal is the key of life and ministry
the 24 elders repeatedly cast their crowns.. nothing they have in theirs.. so return all to God
we must nv forget tt all our abilities and achievements come out from God
-God's will for the future is fully documented and sealed, just not yet executed
-He wont change His mind
-the prophets and seers are those who knew the things God is going to do
-words of a book is the documentation of future events
-sealing means not yet revealed to man
-no one knows abt the future.. only God knows
a scroll with prophecies concerning God's coming judgement and redemption on God's ppl
there's only 1 scroll, sealed w 7 seals (strings waxed)
-need to break the 7 seals to read the scroll
-without a redeemer, the world will remain in the hands of Satan
-the wicked will continue to oppress and pursue he righteous
-without opening the seal, God's full redemption will be postpone again and again
-John was expecting a lion, but it was a lamb as though it has been slain
no matter how tough, we must know tt Jesus is in full control and He nv loses His power
-horn is a common bible symbol of strength
-Jesus has complete strength
-7 eyes.. Jesus knows everything!
-the Holy Spirit is also known as the spirit of Christ and they are inseparable
-John saw clearly the trinity.. Father, Son and Holy Spirit
-by taking the sacrificial death, Jesus have taken control and guarantee the future
-He is consistent.. saying the same thing
-Matt 24 not fulfilled in AD70 cos in AD95, Jesus says has yet to happen
-we dont pray to angels or saints but God alone
-our prayers are kept in golden bowls.. precious to God
-nv despise our own prayers
-the 24 elders were singing praise to the lamb for the redemption of the church
-in Christ, we are all kings and priest and we will reign with Him on the earth one day
-at His 2nd coming, we will reign in the millennium
-on the throne, John saw God the Father, God the Son, the Holy Spirit is there but in a burning lamp
-God exist in 3 equally
-worship without service is hypocrisy
-ut we could also be serving too much tt we are so tired
-living life --- lion, ox, man, eagle
