1. Love always protects
-love covers
-very often, when we are hurt, we want to put ppl down
-just cos we see something, doesn't mean we have to talk abt it to others
-love does not air out the negative things
2. love always trust
love is full of faith.. love believes all things concerning others
its dangerous to over-believe / over-trust
-love perceives clearly yet believe.. its hard, tts why we need God
Jesus knew tt Peter's love for Jesus is not sacrificial, but Jesus still loves him
love always trust.. don't get involve in gossips
Paul never gossiped abt the Corinthians, but said abt the good things
if Satan can tempt us into gossiping, we are unable to love like Jesus
-don't sow seeds of doubt
-if there are things to be spoken, we speak and not gossip!
to encourage = pour in courage.. positive things!
ppl's ego food.. where ppl booast abt others infront of the person who did the same thing.. (seems like the person is not doing a good job)
encourage everyday! nv use words like "stupid"
don't condemn others..
3. love always hopes
-hope goes beyond faith
-if faith is the spiritual engine, hope is the fuel tt keeps it going
-hope gets the faith going
-to the world, hope is like a wish
-to Christian, its more than expectation.. its confident expectation from now until heaven
either we get the miracle one day or in the day we are in heaven
the fuel tank of hope never runs out!
Christ is hope..
-faith comes from the Word, hope comes from Jesus
-the more Christ like we are, the more hopeful we are
-hope comes from love..the more loving we are, the more hopeful we are!
-if love is abounding, there is no disappointment
-hope does not disappoint with ppl, things, situation
love have confidence in the future
-we must learn to be positive and see potential in others
-hope is positive
-we don't hope for negative things for those we failed / hurt us
-love never gives up
-as long as there is love, there is always hope
-love always point to a brighter day
-we must manage our expectation.. love and accept the way ppl are
-but nv stop hoping in God tt ppl will be a better person
4. love always perseveres
-preserve holds position at all cost!
-its not easy during hard times
its common that ppl will drift apart after a crisis.. however, love preserves and brings ppl tgt
we must love in thick and thin
-love is even greater than faith and hope
-to follow Jesus is to follow His way of love!
-only are we abide in love are we abide in God
the moment we stop to love ppl, our love for God will start to diminish
love is the fire tt melts every heart and opens every door
